Bozteck VNCScan Support Center
|
Overview
Most annoying spyware and Trojans can only be removed while the computer is in safe mode. This innovative feature of Bozteck VENM Console allows you to go into safemode on a remote computer while still being able to remote control it!
How it works
-
Right-click a computer or a group of computers in a managed group and select "Windows Tools" and then "Reboot Computer(s)".
-
If you are running as an unprivileged user, enter an administrative username and password. If the computer is not joined to a domain, leave the domain field as %HOST%. If it is joined to a domain, enter the domain administrator username and password along with the domain name in the appropriate fields.
-
Select the type of reboot that you wish to do:
Normal Reboot - The computer will be set to reboot into a normal Windows session
SafeMode Reboot - The computer will be set to reboot into safe mode with VNC support. A copy of safeboot.exe will be copied to the remote desktop for easy switching back to Normal Mode.
Shut Down - The remote computer will be shut down and powered off.
-
Choose the additional Options after pressing 'Next'
Force Reboot - All processes will be killed with no prompting so that the reboot is forced
Allow End User to Cancel - The cancel button will be enabled on the shutdown prompt for the end user
Display a message - This message will be above the cancel button presented to the end user to let them know why the system is rebooting
-
Press Next and confirm by pressing Finish.
