    No "comments" after upgrading to latest build (Build 2008.4.4.213)

    Hello,

    I recently upgraded my VNCScan from Build 2007.10.1.8 to Build 2008.4.4.213.  Ever since upgrading I have lost the information in the "comments" field for my custom/managed groups. (comments are showing up fine in the domain group, under My Network Places).  I have tried deleting/recreating the custom group, and refreshed numerous times (via DNS and port scan) but still no comments.  This is an important issue since comments provide a "friendly name" and an easy way for us to identify computers on our network.

    Does anyone know of a way to fix this?  Or do I have to revert back to Build 2007.10.1.8?

    EDIT: I should also mention that we are on a Windows NT network

    That's strange.  Nothing has changed in that code base.  If you create a new comment, does it stick?  If you drag/drop a computer from the workgroup under "My Network Places", does the comment get copied?

    Hello,

    Manually typed computer comments do not stick.  I can type the comments, click OK, then go back into the computer properties and the "Computer Comments:" field is blank.

    But...

    Dragging and dropping them from my network places DID copy the comments over!  Thank you very much for the fix!
