Several more questions

    Several more questions

    1.   I figured out how to deploy, that was easy. Is there a way to deploy a 2way connection? For instance, I want to be able to control a server from several different workstations. With vnc 4 I could do ithat, even though I had to manually install on every workstation.

    2.    I am getting a fair amount (50%) of clients I simply can't connect to, even though the default group shows vnc installed. It just times out.

    3. Several workstations that I KNOW have vnc installed refuse the connection. I use Mcafee 8.5i security suite, and it might possibly be blocking remote control, even though I set not to.

Love the interface, ease of use etc. Just uninformed!

    Re: Several more questions

I'm sorry that it took so long to respond.  I'm normally pretty quick.  The holidays have slowed us down a bit.

When you are creating a deployment profile, there's a section titled "Sharing".  If you select "always shared", it should allow multiple connections to the same server.

Two and three sound like the same thing.  I am pretty sure that McAfee is the root of this.  Most multi-layered security applications have multiple locations where you need to allow for remote control programs such as VNC.

There is likely somewhere else in the software that is treating the winvnc.exe as maleware and quarantining it.

    Does this help?

    Thank you,
