No fix yet. It seems to work find on a mapped drive but is having a pesky problem using UNC's. This should be fixed in the next release. Until then, is it possible to map a drive and share it that way?

Was this a copy that was downloaded directly from our download page or
from a third party? It seems like a mirror somewhere has a corrupted
setup that is causing this. A good install can be downloaded from this link.

My first thought would be a proxy server caching the upgrade notice? I'm not sure why but I've had a couple people say that it didn't notify them but I know that it worked for the vast majority by the thousands of downloads that took place in the hours after the update.I'll see if I can find the root cause.

Yea, I'm seeing this bug on a workstation here, also. For now, I'd back up using the method described here. I'll take a look at the backup module to see what's causing this.

Oh, another question ... Are you making use of the feature that sorts the groups in a custom order?

Would it be possible, as a test, to adjust the directory permissions on C:\Program Files\Bozteck\VNCScan Console.NET' to allow all users read/write access?

This should work. If you export the HKLM\Software\ORL key and subkeys into a .REG file, you should be able to include it in a new deployment profile. If this works for you, can you please let me know? I'd like to document the outcome of this.

Thank you, Rob. I love hearing positive feedback! The best way to keep users from turning the tool against you would be to make sure that they don't have the admin access to your PC required to remotely install the VNC server. You can also turn your XP/Vista firewall on and check the box for ''no exceptions''. Does that help?
