    "View Installed Software" Stopped working

    Hello,

    After installing version 12.12 the View Installed Software option stopped working.

    Here is the error I get:

    System.UnauthorizedAccessException: Access is denied. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80070005 (E_ACCESSDENIED))
       at System.Runtime.InteropServices.Marshal.ThrowExceptionForHRInternal(Int32 errorCode, IntPtr errorInfo)
       at System.Management.ManagementScope.InitializeGuts(Object o)
       at System.Management.ManagementScope.Initialize()
       at System.Management.ManagementScope.Connect()
       at .
    .()

    I tried updating to the latest version and repairing .NET framework, even tried reverting back to 2007.6.5.2 but still no luck.

    Any help would be great.

    Thanks

    Is it still happening in the latest version?  I haven't been able to reproduce it when supplying an administrator user/password in the group properties.

    Thank you,

    Re: "View Installed Software" Stopped working

    Yes it is still a problem on the latest version, I also noticed that my Manage Process option does not work either. I do have the administrator user/pass set up in the group properties.

    Is there a way to delete any stored user credentials entries from the Registry? I have tried reinstalling a few previous version's to see if I can get it working again, but have had no luck.

    Thanks,

    I would think I need to adjust some security settings in DCOMCNFG but I am unsure as to which one I would need to modify.

    I am still having the same issue as well, even after updating to to version 20008.4.4.213 and verifying that all accounts are a domain admin login.

    Any progress on this?  Advice?

    Thanks!
