    More Default Actions

VNC Scan in it's latest versions is starting to become more than just a VNC utility.  The scanning now picks up more devices than it ever did before.

My environment also has a number of printing, network and storage devices located in various remote offices.  While it is possible to right click on those devices and connect via many methods, it would be much nicer if all those methods were available in the properties of the device.  Now, only VNC and Terminal Server are the only options for the default action.  If at least web (port 80), ftp and a user definable port were in that list it would make VNC Scan a much more usable tool for all the devices on my network.

    Re: More Default Actions

You can do that by doing the following:

    1. Right-click any computer and choose 'Run a Custom Command'
    2. Click 'Edit Commands'
    3. In the new window, name the command something like WWW Port 80
    4. For the command line, type: start http://%HOST%
    5. Click to save and then to close
    6. Right-click a group and choose the group properties
    7. Click on the Action tab
    8. Select your new custom command from the drop-down box
This should allow you to create all sorts of custom actions.  You can also set this on a per-computer basis by right-clicking a computer instead of a group in step 6.

In the comptuer properties, the command will be in a drop down list just under the hostname textbox.

    Thank you,

    Awesome, worked perfectly.

I changed the command line to "start iexplore http://%HOST%" to be sure it opens a fresh IE window each time, rather than re-using an old window already open.

Thanks for making a great product!
