i'm in the same boat.
My last 2 updates have not updated the version number. I uninstalled and reinstalled to get it straight.
Choosing help / check for update gives me an error box with can't find verion build or version number.
Edit:
The message says: "Could not open the version file. Please visit http://www.vncscan.com The system cannot find the file specified"
