I was having this issue also and saw this topic posted on the "Get Satisfaction" board. Thought I'd post to both in the event that someone else has the same issue (I know that one other person was having it also)...

I believe I have found a fix...

I was having the same issue, I uninstalled and reinstalled a few times and then I ran CCLEANER to see if there was some straggeling registry issue. I noticed that there was a reference to UltravncAx.dll that "should have been" living in the C:\Program Files\Bozteck\VNCScan Console .NET folder. Alas it was missing... I had VNC loaded on another machine and grabbed a copy from it and Voila... Error went away. The timestamp on the file I copied is 4/29/2007, version 1.1.0.2 ... I'm not sure if that is the latest and correct file. However, It is now working properly. Perhaps it got missed in the installer files???

Yes, myself and everyone on my team gets this error, in addition to a Line:1 Syntax error. The problem happens every time VNCScan starts up and has only occurred since upgrading to version 2008.8.12.233. I have tried uninstalling/reinstalling, installing on a freshly formatted PC, and have tried installing the latest version (2008.9.9.235). Also, I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling .NET Framework ver 2, 3, and 3.5...and all applicable service packs.

Please help...this is a very annoying error.

That's strange. This isn't a file that is intentionally called from VNCScan for any functional purpose. If anyone has a copy of this file, can you please email it to support at vncscan.com? I'm getting ready to release a product update and I'd like to nail this down before it's out the door.

Ok, I found the file in question and it is being included in the update that is about to be released.
